I was excited to design and create this piece, as I rarely get to work in yellow gold any longer. The “white” metals ( white gold, palladium, platinum) make up 95% of all my custom creations. This unique piece features a beautiful oval opal, and a halo of small bright blue sapphires. The ring is an elegant split shank design. A good client of mine commissioned me to make this ring for her mother. I think she’ll be quite happy!!

Just recently finished this original design. Created in .950 Palladium, this unique split shank engagement ring also features a slightly different style “halo” than most of your common off the shelf designs. I’m looking for the best proposal story out there!!

During the month of October, I am asking all you married and engagement couples out there to submit your proposal story to me via either email or US mail. Deadline is Oct. 31st. Jot down the details of your marriage proposal and send it in. We will be judging the proposal stories based on the following criteria;   1. Originality    2. Romanticness (word?)    3. Complexity    4. Overall Presentation.  The winning story will receive a date night out on John Franklin Jewelers (A nice Dinner and a movie).

My goal is to receive as many stories as possible and assemble them into a notebook for my clients to review. Especially my male clients looking for ideas for their proposal. I am always being asked for ideas and I think it would be great to have some actual proposal stories to offer them.

So, you may want to not use your real names or simply remain anonymous in the writing of your story. By submitting your proposal story, you are giving us consent to share your story.
